JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” plans to build container terminals on the Ukrainian border with European countries for the further development of container transportation. As reported in the “UZ”, the future increase in the volume of container transport will contribute to the inclusion of Ukrainian rail routes in the international corridors, and the creation of logistics centers will be based on European experience. It is noted that the site is planned to be selected so that it is near the railway lines with European gauge (1435 mm), which comes from the territory of Poland, and the Ukrainian railway with a gauge of 1520 mm.
