Turkey’s exports in January 2017 increased by 15%, which is the highest growth rate over the past 49 months, according to the report of Union of Turkish exporters.
Last month, Turkey exported goods worth $10.5 billion.
In January, Turkey exported cars, accessories and spare parts for 2 billion, garments and textiles at $1,253 billion, chemical products with $1,234 billion.
The highest rates of export growth recorded for products such as olive oil (an increase of 146%), ships and boats (57%) and fresh fruit and vegetables (46%).
According to the Turkish statistical Institute (TUIK), the volume of foreign trade of Turkey fell by 2.8% in 2016 compared to the previous year, amounting to $341,2 billion.
Last year, Turkey exported goods worth $142,6 billion, while the volume of imports amounted to $198,6 billion.
