ZAO «BA Interbudmontazh Ukraine» completed the construction of the Beskydy Tunnel, the company reported October 4. The enterprise carried out the basic construction works, such as excavation, concrete lining, waterproofing. Now the subdivisions of “Ukrzaliznytsia” will proceed with earthworks, track laying, installation of the power transmission line and communications. The full complex of works is planned to be completed on May 25, 2018. A new two-track tunnel will allow up to 100 pairs of trains per day at a speed of 60-70 km / h. A single-track tunnel in operation can allow a maximum of 47 trains per day at a speed of 15-40 km / h.
