The trade turnover between Ukraine and China increased by 0.8% to $4.3 billion in the first half of this year compared to the first half of 2015, reported the press service of the Ministry of economic development and trade.
“Trade with China is strategically important for Ukraine. According to the results of 2015, among our trading partners, China ranked second in terms of turnover in the world and first place among the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
Relations between the two countries continue to develop: 6 months of 2016, the total trade turnover increased by 0.8% compared to 2015, and amounted to $4.3 billion,” – said in the message. However, it is emphasized that the export decreased by 26.7% ($1.4 billion).
The report stated that in the course of the first Ukrainian Forum of the silk road signed a Memorandum on strategic cooperation between the Ukrainian house in Beijing and the International chamber of Commerce of the silk road and cooperation agreement and the development of an electronic platform eSilkRoad in Ukraine.
