In January, the deficit of foreign trade in goods in Ukraine totaled $86.7 million compared to $308,7 million deficit in the same period last year. According to the State statistics service.
The data are presented excluding the occupied Russian Crimea and part of Donbass.
Exports of goods from Ukraine in January compared to the same period of 2016 increased by 48.1% to us $3,026 billion, import — by 32.4%, to $3,112 billion.
The coverage ratio of export import was of 0.97, whereas in January 2016 to 0.87. Foreign trade in this period were carried out with partners from 184 countries of the world.
In January, exports of goods to countries of the European Union compared to the same period last year increased by 25.6% to us $1,194 billion and amounted to 39.5% in total exports.
Imports of goods from EU countries in January increased by 5.2% compared to January 2016 — to $1,210 billion and accounted for 38.9 percent of total imports.
