The last few days, for some unknown reasons, the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine blocks the access to the sea of ships with grain. This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council Mikhail Sokolov.
According to him, because of this, both port and linear elevators were overstocked with wheat, and purchase prices for it quickly fell from $210 per ton to $180, and traders do not make sense to buy it, because they physically can not ship it, and the capacity for storage begin to end.
The only explanation for such actions of the SFS, which were able to come up with, is that in this way the government wanted to restrain the growth of wheat prices in the country, despite the global uptrend, in order to prevent the banal rise in price of bread on the eve of the elections.
