Due to the joint efforts of PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”, CTS “Liski” and Odessa port the first container train on the route “Odessa-port — Dnipro-Liski — Odessa-port” successfuly arrived to Dnipro.
The administration of the Odessa-port station reported that 40 fitting platforms were allocated for the formation of the experimental route. The first train is formed by empty containers, which can be issued by freight forwarders quickly without leaving the office. At the time of departure of the train platform filling was 25%.
It is noted that this project is much faster and more efficient than conventional deliveries by rail and road, since the transportation of goods by direct container trains ensures the absence of shunting operations in the route and compliance with the schedule regardless of weather conditions.
