The entrance of Hutchison Ports to the port of Chernomorsk will take place in May

The world’s largest port operator Hutchison Ports plans to start a work in the Odessa region in the spring of this year. The company plans to lease territory at the berths and build new container terminals in the port of Chornomorsk. The tender is planned for May 2018. According to the representative of Hutchison Ports James Pettifer, the company expects to increase the cargo flow in the port of Chornomorsk through close cooperation with local port operators, customs and other services.
Hutchison Ports is the leading world company in the port industry. 80% stake in Hutchison Port Holdings belongs to the Hong Kong multi-profile holding CK Hutchison Holdings, the rest – PSA International, a big port holding company from Singapore. As of 2017, the company operates in 48 ports in 25 countries of Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, America and Australia, the nearest terminal to Ukraine is located in Gdynia (Poland).
