The decision of Maersk Line to leave Odessa is not connected with the technical conditions of work in the port

According to the press service of the Odessa Sea port, the decision of the world’s largest container carrier Maersk Line (Denmark) to stop making ship calls at the port of Odesa is not connected with any technical or technological conditions. Handling of ships of the Maersk container line is regulated by agreements signed between the Danish company and the operator of the container terminal SC “Container Terminal Odessa” (“CTO”), part of the structure of the German concern HHLA (Hamburg). Thus, it is said in the message, to provide correct information about the true reasons for the transfer of ship calls to another container terminal and comments on the possibility of continuing the service of the line ships at the terminal is the competence of the SC “CTO” only.
