Poland tested a cargo train with containers that traveled to Iran through the territory of Ukraine

Polish railway company PKP LHS successfully tested the delivery of containers from the terminal in Slawkow to Astara station in Iran within the framework of the South-West Route transport corridor. In one direction the testing container train totally paved 2,356 kilometers, including 399 kilometers in Poland territory, 965 kilometers in Ukraine, 396 kilometers in Georgia and 596 kilometers in Azerbaijan Republic territory and them Iran in 9 days. In the opposite direction, the train was traveling for 13 days.
It should be noted that the total length of the South-West Route is 7654 km, which is almost 1000 km shorter than the alternative land corridor passing through Russia.
