K Line, MOL and NYK reported details on the structure and management of the holding company that will manage the combined container line business and the operator company – Ocean Network Express Pte. Ltd (Headquartered in Singapore). Company will include 5 regional units:
1) Ocean Network Express (East Asia) Ltd., Hong Kong;
2) Ocean Network Express (Singapore) Ltd., Singapore;
3) Ocean Network Express (Europe) Ltd., United Kingdom;
4) Ocean Network Express (North America) Ltd., USA;
5) Ocean Network Express (Latin America) Ltd., Brazil.
Jeremy Nixon was appointed as a CEO of Ocean Network Express Pte. Ltd. Previously, he headed the Global Liner Management Division in NYK Group South Asia Pte. Ltd., and before – Maersk Line and P&O Nedlloyd. Takafumi Kido will be the president of the Ocean Network Express Holdings, Ltd.
In October 2017, there will be promo tours of the new company in various countries. In February 2018 it is planned to launch an information system and receive bookings.
The beginning of operations is expected in April 2018.
