For the first seven months of 2018, the State Treasury transferred 15.5 billion UAH from customs clearance of containers in the Odessa region. This was reported in the Department of economic policy and strategic planning of the Odessa regional state administration.
We will note, that last year the Chairman of the Odessa regional public administration Maksym Stepanov initiated the draft of legislative changes that has the purpose to simplify procedures of phytosanitary control in the region. Since the beginning of this year, the phytosanitary control in the mode of “import” passed 8399 containers from 199.3 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables. This is more than 1.5 times more than the same period last year.
We will remind, the Odessa customs officers cleared 28.9% of the total amount of containers imported through Ukraine. This is 8.2% more than for the same period in 2017. In general, this year in the “import” mode 35.2 thousand containers were issued and cleared.
