According to the data of “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” (USPA), in the period from January to June of this year, Ukrainian seaports handled 63.8 million tons of cargo, which is 3.1% less compared to the same period in 2017. Among the main reasons are called the off-season farmers, as well as a serious shortage of cars for ore.
It is noted that the handling of export goods decreased by 8.9% — to 46.12 million tons, and imported goods, on the contrary, increased by 18.7% – to 10.92 million tons. The share of handling of transit cargo amounted to 5.8 million tonnes in domestic traffic — 929,14 thousand tons.
