In the first quarter of 2018 Odessa customs officers issued 14,700 containers, which is in 1.5 times more than for the same period last year. The amount of payments to the budget from customs cleared goods in the “import” regime amounted to 2.5 billion UAH. This was reported in the press service of the Odessa regional state administration.
According to the head of the Department of Economic Policy and Strategic Planning Dmitry Radulov, budget revenues increased by 63% compared to the corresponding period of last year. Such indicators were achieved due to the introduction of innovations in the customs business. Also, several pilot projects aimed at improving the business environment were launched. For example, “Automobile HUB”, where, according to the “single window” principle, 7 state and non-governmental institutions have been cooperated, which greatly simplified the customs clearance procedure.
