Ukraine, Poland, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Iran will jointly participate in the project to create a new transport corridor “South-West”. The heads of railway companies of these countries agreed to establish a single tariff for the transportation of containers between the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas in the Persian Gulf and the Polish reloading terminal in Slawkow. The agreement was signed during the meeting of the Coordinating Committee for the Development of the South-West International Transport Route in Warsaw. It is planned that the introduction of a single tariff will simplify the delivery of goods from Asia to Europe. It should be noted that the total length of the “South-West” transport corridor is 7,654 km, and the route is more than 1,000 km shorter than the alternative land corridor passing through the territory of Russia.
