Ukrainian seaports increased container turnover by 16,2% in January

According to live data from the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA), in January 2018 Ukrainian ports increased container turnover by 16.2% compared to the same period of the previous year – up to 47,174 TEU. The turnover of import containers increased by 20.1% to 24,955 TEU, export – by 13.2%, to 19,943 TEU, and transit – by 3.4%, to 2,276 TEU. Odessa Port accounted for 88.2% of all container ports, 11.3% – for the Yuzhny Port, and less than 1% for the ports of Chornomorsk and Olvia. It is also noted that the processing of containers in weight terms increased by 13.8% – up to 618.05 tons, and transshipment of containers in quantitative terms increased by 10.3% – to 30,624 units.
