According to the results of the first half-year, sea container transportations through the ports of Ukraine, as compared to January-June 2016, grew by 3.6%. In just six months, 293.6 thousand TEU were handled in Ukrainian ports. In terms of weight, the sea container traffic through the ports of Ukraine amounted to 3.935 million tons, compared to the same period in 2016, the growth was 1.7%.
The Odesa seaport remains the absolute leader in the transshipment of containers – in the first half of 2017, containerized cargo transportation increased by 9.9%. In January-June, 252.57 thousand TEU were handled in the port, while last year the container traffic amounted to 229.85 thousand TEU.
