The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko enacted the decision of the Council of national security and defence on strengthening the protection of infrastructure. About it reports a press-service of Administration of the President.
“To enact the decision of national security Council and defense of Ukraine from December 29, 2016 “On improving measures to ensure the protection of critical infrastructure” , — stated in the message.
It should be noted that the decree comes into force from the date of its publication.
Thus, the Cabinet of Ministers shall within two months to develop and adopt the concept of creation of state system of protection of critical infrastructure and the action plan for its implementation. In addition, after approval of the concept to develop, with the participation of the security service, foreign intelligence Service and the NBU and to contribute in the prescribed manner to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law “On critical infrastructure and its protection.”
The bill should provide for creation of state system of protection of critical infrastructure; identify the authority responsible for the coordination of activities; definition of the functions, powers and responsibilities of Central bodies of Executive power on this issue.
