In Ukraine (excluding the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Sevastopol and part of the zone of the antiterrorist operation) in January — November 2016 transport companies transported 568,8 million tonnes, which is 4.1% more than in the corresponding period of 2015, according to the State statistics service of Ukraine (gosstat).
Turnover amounted to 294 billion tkm, or 102,1% by volume Jan — Nov 2015 In particular, the cargo turnover of railway transport decreased by 4.4%, water — by 26.1%. The freight turnover of air transport increased by 9.6%, automobile — by 9.5% and the pipeline is 16.6%.
In January — October, 2016 transported by rail in domestic traffic and export 267,6 million tons of cargo, which is 0.5% less than in January — November 2015 transportation of timber cargo decreased by 14.2%, scrap ferrous metals — by 14.0%, construction materials — by 14.0%, iron and manganese ore — by 7.8%, coal — by 2.5%, chemical and mineral fertilizers — by 0.4%. Along with that, transportation of cement increased by 6.0%, coke — by 6.5%, ferrous metals — by 9.3%, grain and grinding products — by 9.4%, petroleum and petroleum products — by 24.1%.
In the total volume of cargo transportation by water transport overseas was 47.7%. In comparison with January — November 2015 the volume of foreign cargo transportation grew by 3.2%.
In January — November 2016 increased the volumes of cargo by pipeline. So, pumping gas increased by 13.6%. Along with this transfer of oil fell by 11.0%, ammonia — by 1.2%. Gas transit increased by 22.3 per cent, oil and ammonia decreased accordingly by 10.7% and 1.5%.
Recall that in January — October 2016 transportation grew by 3.8%.
