The number of container trains on the Caspian international transport route (“TMTM”) in 2020 will reach 1,000 units, reports the official website of JSC “Kazakhstan Railways”.
According to the report, the agreement was reached in Baku at the meeting of heads of railway administrations of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Georgia. The meeting discussed issues of conducting flexible tariff policy for the growth of the cargo traffic on “TMTM”, growth of volumes of cargo transportation between Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Georgia. To ensure the growth of transit in the “TMTM”were also agreed upon a comprehensive rate and tariff in 2017.
During the meeting between CJSC “Azerbaijan Railways” and JSC “Kazakhstan Railways” signed a Memorandum on cooperation on implementation of joint projects in the railway engineering industry.
