According to the service economy OF SE “ASPU” through the berths of the Odessa port in January — October 2016 20873,8 handled thousand tons of cargo, accounting for 98.3% of the result of the same period last year. The transshipment of dry cargo amounted to 18772,5 thousand tons (103,1%), bulk cargoes — 2101,3 kt (69,5%). About it reports a press-service of administration of Odessa sea port.
In the nomenclature of cargo ships the lion’s share of processed tonnage accounted for three positions: grain in bulk — 6736,8 thousand tons (97,6% to January — October 2015), containers — 5615,4 thousand tons (130.8 á%), ferrous metals — 5148,9 kt (97.3 percent).
According to economists, the most iconic figure in the statistics of the port’s cargo turnover in 10 months of 2016 is the growth of transshipment of containerized cargo in unit terms — 400494 TEU, which is 132.5% to the result of the same period last year. It is thanks to the dynamics of container transshipment of dry cargo in January-October, remains with the plus sign.
