Managers of the railway administration and grain traders representatives discussed the situation with the transport of grain cargo at the meeting of the American Chamber of Commerce, which took place on October 5, 2016 in Kiev. Representatives of “Ukrzaliznytsia” reported that work with improved grain. For example, only a decrease in turnover of the car has allowed every day to attract an additional 300 for loading grain. In 2016 the turnover of grain accelerated almost a day – from 10.8 to 9.9 days. In particular, the grain “Ukrzaliznytsia” fleet turnover is 9.4 days, or 0.3 days less than last year, its own fleet of cars – almost 12.7 days, which is 4 days less than in 2015. With this in 2016 railways transported grain cargo by 10% more than last year. As grain traders noted an increase in the load on the railway grain cargo was due to the prohibition of movement of vehicles weighing more than 40 tons on public roads, which was taken by the Cabinet at the end of last year.
