Today, on November 27, 2018, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan held an extended meeting with the heads of enterprises, institutions and organizations that are under the management of the Ministry of Infrastructure. The meeting was attended by the leaders of “Ukrzaliznytsia”, “Ukravtodor”, the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA), State Aviation Administration, Ukraeroruh, heads of seaports, representatives of the structural units of the Ministry of Infrastructure. Vladimir Omelyan noted that in connection with the introduction of martial law in 10 regions, Ukraine is introducing additional measures to ensure the protection and defense of infrastructure facilities.
“I give a separate order to strengthen the protection and defense of railway stations, railway stations, airports, ports and other infrastructure facilities. We also introduce a special mode of operation of railway transport. It provides for ensuring the carrying capacity of the railway network and the corresponding rolling stock for the needs of defense in the main areas determined by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” – Omelyan said.
The Minister of Infrastructure commissioned the State Secretary of the Ministry Andrii Galuschak to create an Operational Headquarters for interaction with the military command and military administrations to ensure compliance with the legal regime of martial law.
