By the end of the calendar year Ukrainian sugar companies export 250 000 tons of sugar. The major export countries are: Georgia, Israel, Azerbaijan, as well as Hong Kong and other Asian countries, inform the press centre of “Ukrtsukor” association.
Low selling price and the excess sugar production forced the company to actively seek out new markets. “Ukrtsukor” repeatedly addressed with the request to increase the quota on sugar exports to the EU by 15 times to 300 000 tons, instead of the existing 20 000 tons.
The quotas for the production of white sugar gained 44 plant. The new marketing year (September – October, 2016 – 2017) will bring about 2 million tons of sugar. Transitory balances at the end of the current marketing year are estimated more than 300 000 tons.
