Current issues and directions of development of cooperation between the customs authorities of Ukraine and Turkey was discussed during a meeting of the Chairman of the SFS of the Roman Nasirov with a delegation of the Ministry of customs and trade of the Turkish Republic on October 10, 2016, reports the press service of the SFS.
“Our common goal is to create comfortable conditions for Ukrainian and Turkish business by providing quality services and further improvement of customs procedures”, — said R. Nasirov.
He noted that the trade turnover between Ukraine and Turkey from the beginning of 2016 more than $2 billion, of which $1.4 billion is exports, and $667 million — import.
“I am convinced that countries that have a large turnover and an even greater potential to develop trade and economic relations have much more to cooperate in the customs sphere”, — said the Chairman of the SFS.
According to R. Nasirov, the Turkish side provided a draft interdepartmental documents aimed at strengthening cooperation between the customs authorities of the two countries and create favorable conditions for business activity of Ukraine and Turkey.
Now discussed questions of exchange of preliminary information between the customs agencies of the two countries, cooperation in the sphere of exchange of customs statistical information.
