The coal continues to arrive from the South American republic to Ukraine. The information published on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, evidenced about the arrival at the port of Yuzhny Bulk Chaina ship with a cargo of anthracite coal in the amount of 168 000 tonnes of December, 5th.
Vessels arriving from South Africa in accordance with the contracts which are prepared by the orders of Vladimir Demchishin Minister og Energy and Coal industry. The arrived coal would come to Tripolis coal power plant. Quality of anthracite is provided by international company SGS. There have already been for the first sample. The
Minister said that the quality and price of coal from South Africa is acceptable. B.Demchishin noted also that the existing contract allows to purchase of any volume of coal. The level of purchases of energy carrier is limited only by the ability to port to handle vessels with coal and the availability of funds.
It is planned to take another batch of coal from South Africa which will arrive in Ukraine on December,12 and in the beginning of next year. Due to the termination of the supply of anthracite from the territory of Donbass and Russia, Mr.Yatsenyuk recommended to Demchishin replenish the missing raw materials, after which it was
announced about the need to sign the contract for the supply of 250,000 tons of raw materials from South Africa in December and 170,000 tons in January 2016.
