Since the start of the operation “Ukraine without smuggling” and to date, the volume of payments to the Ukrainian budget has increased by almost 23%, compared with the corresponding period last year. Already 93.7 billion UAH of customs payments have been transferred. This was reported by the acting head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Olexandr Vlasov.
According to him, since June, revenues from customs clearance of vehicles have been increasing. 87 criminal proceedings were registered and nine criminal groups, the so-called centers for minimizing customs payments, were terminated.
Also, the official noted that many vessels that stood with containers in neutral waters and could not pass the custom clearance procedure began to work “in white”, as they realized that it was already impossible to return to the previous schemes. Also, smuggling of oil products was practically stopped, which was conducted “in black”, bypassing the customs.
