According to Julia Marushevskaya who is a head of the Odessa custom the transfer of all procedures in the on-line will help to cope with corruption. This was stated by the chief of custom in the course of a meeting with businessmen at the American Chamber of Commerce.
Yulia Marushevskaya reported that customs center which is planned to organize in new ways will monitor all transactions on-line and it should be an obstacle to corruption. Thus the project under the name of “Transparent Customs will be implemented.
New Odessa Custom will work in a new format in the spring of next year as Marushevskaya reported. In addition to the system of transparency in customs-effective according to Marushevskaya it will be motivation of employees which will also help in the fight against corruption.
The selection of employees will be carried out in two directions. First – this is a real test for involvement in corruption and the second is the question of salaries which is the motivation for the customs service providers. The chief of customs convinces that motivation should be one of the main incentives for all employees of the new structure.
