Since the beginning of 2018, the container turnover of Ukrainian ports has increased by 16%

According to SE “Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” (USPA), in January-November 2018 the container turnover of Ukrainian sea ports increased to 757 512 TEU, which is 16% higher than in 2017. The handling of containers in the import amounted to 371 231 TEU, export — 356 858 TEU, transit — 29 423 TEU.

The containers were processed by Odessa sea port – 70,9% (of the total container throughput of all ports), port of Chornomorsk – 14.8%, port of Yuzhny – 14,1% and SE SC “Olvia” – less than 1%.

Thus, Port of Odessa increased container turnover by 14.9% to 537 648 TEU (import – 270 937 TEU, export — 243 448 TEU). The port of Chornomorsk (including data from Container terminal of Chornomorsk Fishing Port) processed 112 475 TEU (export – 67 013 TEU, import — 45 462 TEU), the port of Yuzhny increased container turnover by 68.3% — to 107 056 TEU (import – 54 762 TEU, export — 46 353 TEU), SE SC “Olvia” processed 333 TEU.
