The administration of the Odessa sea port provided new data on the loading of container trains launched jointly with PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”. At this moment there are systematic container trains to Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipro and Kharkiv, and soon start of the block train in the direction of Kyiv is expected.
The train to Ivano-Frankivsk region was launched 5 months ago and is now loaded by more than 85%. The train to Dnipro, which began operating only two months ago, is loaded by an average of 60%. The train to Kharkiv (with 4 departures) is loaded by about 30%.
In turn, the General Director of the company “Container Terminal Odessa” (SC “CTO”) Anastas Kokkin, the largest container stevedore in the ports of Ukraine, said that the load of block trains increases with each new flight and that in most cases customers are satisfied with the routing of container traffic.
However, in the opinion of the party anti-corruption group of the Reanimation package of reforms Serhiy Drones, the Prosecutor’s office or the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine should establish who PJSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” is responsible for generating and sending a half-empty container trains, in particular, in the direction Odessa-Dnipro, because such activity is a major loss for the state, which itself is a pretext for a criminal investigation.
