Transportation of goods in container trains and combined train “Viking” on the territory of Ukraine from January to August 2016 increased by 7% compared with the volumes of the same period last year. In general in all types of transportation (import, export, transit and internal) transported 38021 TEU. Reported by the press center of “UZ”.
In particular, increased volumes of container traffic in the train “Dneprovets” (Odessa – Dnepropetrovsk-Liski – Odessa) by 60%, which transported 2,843 TEU; 41% (Nikopol – Illichevsk – Nikopol ) – 17930 TEU; 10% – “Podolie” (Odessa – Khmelnitsky – Odessa) – 850 TEU.
Significant volumes (2588 TEU) transported in combined transport train “Viking”; by routes: Kosice – Perspective – 4200; Romania – Tolyatti – Romania -3848. Train “Khreshchatyk” Odessa – Kiev-Liski – Odessa – 2024, “ZUBR” – 856, “Land Bridge” China – Slovakia – China – 358, Odessa – Kharkiv-Liski – Odessa – 432.
Now on the territory of Ukraine runs 11 container trains. Transportation of containers in container trains about 27% of the total volume of containers transported through the territory of Ukraine.
